A Night At The Movies With Brown Bear

Sunday presents a big challenge when you live my lifestyle.  Usually you wake from a wild night before, stand up 69 the girl you wake up with, take her to breakfast and buy her blueberry pancakes and then come home for a post breakfast nap.  I know, my life is hard.. get over it.

This Sunday I went to see Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay with #1 and Nic.  We went out for a delicious dinner at Tremont 647 and then I smoked a giant j on the way to the cinema.  How in the fuck do you think I would go there without smoking in the first place?  It's my tradition these days to get super ripped and go see a film and this one (in my opinion) would be all about weed.

You couldn't expect this movie to suck because it has a few elements from the previous film that you can't touch.  For example, N.P.H. makes an appearance and you even get to see Rob Corddry go shithouse.  Obviously it won't let you down.  You can't expect it to blow your mind like the first one though.

Super High Me - Doug Benson Interview

Everyone who knows me, knows that Brown Bear loves to smoke the greens.  It enhances pretty much every  facet of my lifestyle.  I like the taste, the smell, the ritual, and the benefits of smoking.  Sure it's taken a toll on my brain cells but I combat that with reading, writing, exercise, Kumon, and putting it in the ladies on the regular basis.

You could imagine my surprise when I found out that Doug Benson (Comedy Central Presents, Curb Your Enthusiasm) was releasing a documentary about smoking cheeb everyday for 30 days.  It's a spoof on Super Size Me and the idea is brilliant.  For a second there I thought "well I've been smoking for 30 days straight", but then I talked to him and realized it was more complicated than that.

I like his stand up comedy, I like his SuperDeluxe stuff, and I love this trailer.  He's a solid dude and a friend of Lets Get Tight.  Also look for cameo appearances by Zach Galifianakis and Bob Odenkirk.

Here is the Trailer for Super High Me:

Here is an Interview with LGT's Brown Bear and comedian Doug Benson

What made you want to make Super High Me? Were you legitimately smoking everyday beforehand or was this actually something you set out to do. In other words, were you a pothead or did you challenge yourself to become one?

Book of the Week

After a few bong rips a dude will argue incoherently about pretty much anything.  You begin to start taking things that are said metaphorically out of context and begin to question pretty much everything.  That tends to suck balls but you can get some really sick nuggets of wisdom out of these rants.

Today I was getting a coffee at a coffee shop.  You know, those places where douchebag Gen-Xers with tinted horn rimmed glasses who dress like Rivers from Weezer go to pretend they are intelligent in hopes of meeting a girl who is just as retarded?  Well anyways, I heard this balloon head say "Jazz is totally dead these days".  I thought about it.  Later on I was on the phone with tech support for our cable provider and he put me on hold.  What did I hear?  JAZZ MUSIC.  It was shitty mellow jazz but it was jazz nonetheless.  Jazz is alive you cholo.
